Engineering
Most High Performance Thermoplastics were developed in the US and Europe at such firms as GE Plastics (now Sabic Innovative Plastics), Solvay Advanced Polymers, and BASF. China Array's HPTP Applications Engineers come from GE Plastics, where they helped developed and commercialize many of that firm's High Performance Thermoplastics applications. They control the manufacturing process from original design through finished product to insure comprehensive quality control and, equally important, protection of customers' intellectual property.
Injection Molding HPTP's The chemical complexity, extremely high melt temperatures and unusual molding characteristics of high performance thermoplastics impose rigorous requirements on an injection molder: HPTP engineering, specialized equipment, processing expertise, stringent quality control protocols and protection of intellectual property, to name a few. China Array is dedicated to molding high performance thermoplastics.
HPTP's high
molding temperatures are unforgiving of molds. The steel, design,
workmanship, and tight tolerances of China Array's molds are critical
to HPTP molding. The company adheres to the Society
of the Plastics Industry (SPI) Mold Standards & Classifications.
CNC/EDM machining centers, precision measuring instrumentation,
and advanced CAD/CAM software allow construction
of complex, sophisticated production molds. The company also offers
stripped down, low cost prototype
molds.

The company has decades of experience in the machining, fabrication and polishing required for post molding operations and production of high quality, non-plastic accessories. The firm draws on a broad network of trusted vendors within the manufacturing community for advice and/or outsourcing of specialized products and services.
China's Industrial Heart Land China Array's
production facilities are located in Wuhan,
China: the capital of Hubei Province and China's fifth largest city
with a population of eight million. Known as the 'Thoroughfare to
Nine Provinces", Wuhan is approximately 400 miles from Shanghai
in the east, Zhongqing in the west, Hong Kong in the south and Beijing
in the north. The city straddles the Yangtze River at the nexus
of the main river, rail and highway routes running north/south and
east/west across China. It is perfectly situated for supplying customers
within China or reaching coastal ports for export.
Computer Aided Design (CAD) & Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) China Array's US and Chinese offices are outfitted with identical CAD/CAM systems (ProEngineering and MasterCam9), which can handle virtually all customer drawing formats. Collaborative web conferencing allows engineers at different sites to work simultaneously on projects utilizing digital video and photography to communicate product development, mold construction and injection molding processing issues between parties.
